使用条款

By reading OhmPedia you accept the terms below. If you do not accept them, the site is not for you.

What you may do

You may read, print and save any page for your own study, teaching or work. You may quote a passage or a figure with an attribution and a link to the entry it came from. You may not republish an entry or a plate in full, mirror the site, or feed the contents into a service that reproduces them as its own material, without written permission from [email protected].

Accuracy and no warranty

The entries are written with care and the worked examples are checked by hand, but the site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Component values, tolerances and thermal behaviour vary between parts and between manufacturers; a relation that holds for an idealised component may not hold in your circuit. You are responsible for verifying anything you build against the datasheets of the parts you actually use.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the site's authors are not liable for any loss or damage — including damage to equipment, loss of data, or loss of profit — arising from the use of, or reliance on, anything published here.

Safety

Nothing here is a safety instruction, an installation guide, or an approval of any circuit for any purpose. Working on mains-powered equipment or on high-current battery systems carries a risk of injury and death; such work should be done only by a qualified person, with proper isolation and test equipment.

Advertising

Display advertising on this site is served by third parties including Google AdSense. Its presence is not an endorsement of the advertised product, and the site is not a party to any transaction you enter into with an advertiser.

Third-party links

Entries sometimes cite an external standard, datasheet or calculator. Those links point at material the site does not control and does not maintain, and their content may change or disappear.

Changes

These terms may be revised; the date above marks the current version. Continued use of the site after a revision means the revised terms apply.
